Caramoor Internation Music Festival: Sonidos Latinos

Sonidos Latinos – highlights from the Caramoor International Music Festival - The Festival featured concerts programmed especially for Caramoor, each focusing on different aspects of Latin American music. This three hour special entitled Sonidos Latinos showcased Venezuelan dance music, Latin American chamber music and orchestral works and Latin Jazz. Traditional instruments and music from across South and Central America, as well as select Caribbean regions were also featured. Guests included: Marco Granados & Un Mundo Ensemble, Venezuelan trumpet sensation Francisco Flores; winner of the 2006 Maurice Andre Trumpet Competition in Paris, made his Caramoor debut; Paquito D'Rivera; John Feeney; Jeremy Denk.
