Cabinet of Wonders

Cabinet of Wonders is a variety show recorded live in New York. It features an exciting mix of musicians, authors, comedians, and other artists. Imagine you're in the audience of a talent show put on by your very talented, critically acclaimed friends. They sing, read from their novels, tell jokes, make you laugh, make you think, and keep you entertained.

This episode of Cabinet of Wonders offers a feast of words, written for song, for print and for laughs. Musician A.C. Newman, front man for the band The New Pornographers, and Will Sheff of Okkervil River each sing gentle songs with penetrating lyrics. Duo Dean and Britta show their love of psychedelic rock, and writer and musican Rick Moody takes a stand against the drum machine. Novelist Colson Whitehead, the author of The Intuitionist and John Henry Days, reads a passage about the adolescent trauma he lived through when Coca-Cola traded in Coke for New Coke
