Underwater Search Resumes for Missing Malaysian Airliner in Indian Ocean

You may remember the story from earlier this year when a plane from the country of Malaysia disappeared from air traffic control radars on its way to Beijing. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is leading the search for wreckage in the Indian Ocean, where officials believe the plane went down.

Equipped with a new detailed map of the bottom of the ocean showing underwater canyons and ridges, crews resumed the search for wreckage this week. Using a search vessel called the 'Go Phoenix', Australian authorities hope to conduct more extensive sweeps of the ocean floor. Two other ships will join the expedition later this month.
