This week's NewsDepth A+

LAST WEEK WE HEARD FROM A BRILLIANT CLASS IN BEVERLY, OH, BUT IT’S THEIR KINDNESS AND GENEROSITY THAT EARNED THEM OUR NEWSDEPTH A PLUS FOR THIS WEEK!

TEACHERS AT BEVERLY CENTER ELEMENTARY …MS YOUNG AND MS OTT…. WROTE IN TO TELL US ABOUT THEIR CLASS’S UNCONVENTIONAL HOLIDAY ACTIVITY:
"THIS YEAR IN LIEU OF HAVING A GIFT EXCHANGE, THE 41 STUDENTS IN THE 5TH GRADE BROUGHT MONEY AND EVERYONE WALKED TO A LOCAL GROCERY STORE. WE PURCHASED FOOD FOR TWO FAMILIES AND THREE WIDOWS IN OUR LOCAL AREA. WE WERE ABLE TO USE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO PRACTICE OUR MATH SKILLS IN A VERY PRACTICAL WAY AND TEACH THE VALUE OF HELPING OTHERS TO THE STUDENTS. WE ARE A SMALL RURAL SCHOOL WITH A BIG HEART LOCATED 20 MILES NORTH OF MARIETTA LOCATED RIGHT ON THE MUSKINGUM RIVER."

AND ALL OF US HERE AT NEWSDEPTH ARE SO PROUD OF YOUR BIG HEART AND GREAT WORK! BRAVO, BEVERLY CENTER ELEMENTARY!
