Teacher Raises Money for Special Chairs

Speaking of back pains, an Iowa teacher is raising money to buy special chairs for her kindergarten students. Kara Pulley says she's raised $2,800 using the website "donorschoose.org", so that she could add these special ball-chairs to her classroom.

Pulley says she wanted to use the chairs as a way for her students to get out a little bit of energy.

Studies show that children who are allowed to move around during the day have better focus and that can lead to better grades. The kindergarten teacher says since using chairs, she's noticed her kids are more engaged...and she's even spotted better posture among the group.
