Pumpkins Pack a Healthy Punch

Pumpkins are everywhere this time of year! And while most of you are probably more interested in carving fun designs into those pumpkins, did you know they could also be good for your health?

Pumpkins are loaded with superpower pigments called carotenoids. Found in many red and orange foods, these compounds have been shown to help improve health, including decreasing the risk of certain cancers. Carotenoids also function as anti-oxidants and help prevent damage to your healthy cells while repairing the damaged ones.

They also benefit vision and immune system function. So no matter how you slice it, pumpkins pack a healthy punch!
