Hello, everyone. I’m Rick Jackson. Thanks for joining us on the first episode of our 47 th season – yeah, you heard that right: We’ve been producing NewsDepth for 47 years! That’s, like, 200 NewsCat years…So NewsDepth probably has quite a few years on you – and it could even be older than your teachers and your parents. It’s actually one of the oldest continuously running shows on WVIZ, starting way back in 1970.
Now, I haven’t been at the helm for quite that long…I started hosting NewsDepth in 2005, but it’s possible that I’ve been working this gig longer than some of you have been alive!
Take a look -- that’s me and my former co-host Dan Moulthrop back in 2007. And that’s former host Dave Pignanelli with former producer Jean O’Malley back around 2004 before I started!
