Using Targeted Therapy For Cancer Treatment

Scientists have been able to identify specific mutations in certain types of cancers and then design drugs to disrupt them. In our continuing Be Well series on cancer, ideastream’s Kay Colby shows us how targeted therapy works by following the case of a Northeast Ohio man with advanced stage colon cancer. The story shows how some treatment decisions literally boil down to what doctors find in a sliver of liver.
