The Urban League of Greater Cleveland Celebrates 100 Years

December 7th,  marks the 100th  anniversary of the founding of  the Urban League of Greater Cleveland.

In 1917, Cleveland became the sixth affiliate of the national organization that had been formed to assist African Americans moving from the rural south to the big cities of the north in the first wave of what's now called the great migration.

Throughout its history, both here and nationally, the league has advocated for civil rights and economic opportunity for African Americans.

Marsha Mockabee, The Urban League of Greater Cleveland's President and CEO talks about the League's past and future.
