Caregiving: State Report Cards

According to the National Alliance on Caregiving, almost 66 million people currently take care of loved ones in homes across America. The most common reasons people need long-term care are for age-related illnesses including forms of dementia such as Alzheimer’s disease.

For the next six months, ideastream’s Be Well health team will explore the challenges of caregiving through the lives of families throughout Northeast Ohio.

To kick off the series, ideastream’s Rick Jackson spoke with Health Producer Kay Colby about how Ohio stacks up to other states in terms of supporting family caregivers.
