Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield says it will stop offering policies in Ohio

Citing uncertainty and a shrinking market for Affordable Care Act related insurance, one of Ohio's major health insurers says is is leaving the state's federal health insurance exchange.

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield says the company will stop offering policies in the Ohio Marketplace next year.

Anthem's exit leaves 20 Ohio counties without a single insurer on the Obamacare exchange, but the Ohio Department on Insurance says the actual number of counties without an insurer is closer to 18, based on preliminary coverage shifts for 2018.
