The three, young Italian tenors, Piero Barone (19), Ignazio Boschetto(18) and Gianluca Ginoble (17) of Il Volo proved to win the hearts of PBS viewers nationwide in March 2012 with more than 2,100 broadcasts of their DPTV special from the Detroit Opera House, Il Volo Takes Flight. Now, they return with their second PBS special, Il Volo We Are Love, set to film at The Fillmore Theatre in Miami, Florida on March 26, 2013. The concert will be taped with an orchestra and rhythm section for a June 2013 national PBS release. Aside from providing a stunning vocal framework by songwriter/producer Mark Portmann (Celine Dion, Josh Groban) and Latin Grammy winner Edgar Cortazar, We Are Love also allows Il Volo to show off their multilingual prowess, as they sing in English, Spanish, French and Italian. Il Volo and album producer, Humberto Gatica again turned to Diane Warren for the album’s lead track “Questo Amore.” Besides being the perfect vocal opener, it’s a fresh Italian take on Warren’s huge hit for Aerosmith, “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing.” Warren also supplied the exquisitely sensitive English song “I Bring You To My Senses.” We Are Love also features a film song in “Historia De Un Amor” by Panamanian songwriter Carlos Eleta Almaran. The song has been performed by many international artists including Nana Mouskouri and Cesaria Evora, and it was featured in the 1956 Mexican movie of the same name. Il Volo We are Love will be beautifully crafted by the exceptional creative team that includes Richard Jay-Alexander (producer) whose extensive credits include concerts for internationally renowned stars such as Barbra Streisand, Bernadette Peters and Bette Midler; Scott Lochmus (director); the nationally respected Detroit team; Il Volo management; Steve Leber and Jordan Leber; and the teams at Interscrope/Geffen and Live Nation.
