Live Wire Radio

Live Wire is a one-hour weekly radio variety show recorded in front of a live audience. It’s music, it’s conversation, it’s sketch comedy. It’s the show that dared to put tap dancing, juggling and ballet on the radio. Live Wire highlights the best musicians and most fascinating writers, poets, dignitaries, artists we can find in the even more beautiful pacific northwest.

ARTHUR BRADFORD - is a writer and director whose work has appeared in Esquire, McSweeneys, and Tin House. He’s also worked on the pioneering film and TV series “How’s Your News?” which predominantly featured handicapped reporters. His film 6 Days to Air chronicled the process behind an episode of South Park.

ARI SHAPIRO & THOMAS LAUDERDALE -Ari Shapiro has been NPR’s White House correspondent since 2010, which means he’s probably met the President’s Portuguese Water Dog, or at least seen him around. Plus the President. He followed the Mitt Romney campaign during the 2012 election (hey remember that?). Not only that, he’s a talented singer and has performed frequently with Pink Martini, whose Thomas Lauderdale will join him on the show.

SARAH JACKSON-HOLMAN - Singer-songwriter Sara Jackson-Holman has seen a fairly dramatic career arc, going from a recent music school graduate to having her songs featured on ABC’s Castle and The CW’s Ringer. Some might call her rise meteoric, but since meteors fall to earth, that’s not appropriate. Her rise is like that of the Super Ball you bounced in 4th grade that magically never came down. http://www.sarajacksonholman.com/

Along with your host, COURTENAY HAMEISTER comedy by, FACES FOR RADIO THEATRE poetry by, SCOTT POOLE and music by House Band, RALPH HUNTLEY AND THE MUTTONCHOPS.
