The Cleveland Orchestra and the Youth Ensembles

Featured Audio

This week, we present a theme show of sorts: a look at one of the most powerful marriages in the world, arts and education.

Recently, The Cleveland Orchestra held a week of educational programs called, Make Music for area students. The goal was to increase public participation in music and highlight the Orchestra's own educational ambitions. Orchestra members spent the week coaching, teaching and performing with students, culminating in a concert at Severance Hall, and our ideastream cameras were there to capture the music and the magic.

Guests:

The Cleveland Orchestra
The Rainey Institute
Cleveland Orchestra, Violinist, Isabel Trautwein
Rainey Institure, Executive Director, Lee Lazar
