Bluesman Wallace Coleman, Chinese Paintings from the Cleveland Museum of Art & Beatlemania

WALLACE COLEMAN: The Blues are known for capturing the hard times that this “mean” old world has to offer. However...if you take a look at the cover of Bluesman Wallace Coleman's new album...”Wallace Coleman Live, From Sau Paula to Severance Hall”, he seems to have the world at his feet.  It's a visual metaphor for Wallace's journey to South America for a series of concerts and a Live Recording.

CLEVELAND MUSEUM OF ART:  Silent Poetry: Chinese Paintings from the Collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art features ancient landscapes and scrolls from as far back as the first millennium, the exhibit - - spotlights masterworks of the collection, spanning China's Song and Qing dynasties.  However the exhibit is only a fraction of the entire collection of Chinese paintings at CMA.   To get a more complete view, there's also a companion catalog, with close to 500 pages that describe more than 100 selected works and 400 color illustrations.

THE BEATLES: The impact that the Beatles have had on music can’t be overstated.  They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in 1988.  Included in the Rock Hall’s permanent collection is everything from hand-written notes to costumes.  On this episode of Applause America, we look back at the Fab Four’s U.S. invasion.
