It was quite a year for lawmakers in the Ohio House. They took up bills related to exotic animals, pension reform, employment for ex-convicts and expanded gambling through racinos and internet cafés, along with the usual measures on taxes and spending. Here to look back and look ahead are House Speaker Bill Batchelder, a Republican of Medina, and Minority Leader Armond Budish, a Democrat of Beachwood in suburban Cleveland.
