For Democrats, there was a brief moment of victory this past weekend as their version of health care reform - complete with a government-run public insurance option - finally passed the House of Representatives. The bill passed by only two votes on Saturday. But Republicans say the bill, as it stands right now, will not get out of its next stop - the U.S. Senate. Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says he will bring a health bill to the senate floor as soon as possible, but he does not believe their version of the bill will be ready for a vote by the end of the year, which is President Obama’s deadline.
