South Korea Musicians Called Noridan Turn Trash into Art

Posted Wednesday, November 4, 2009

Featured on Episode 8 of the 2009-2010 season

A musical group in South Korea turns trash into art, creating very unusual musical instruments. It’s a performance like no other. Their name is Noridan which, in Korean, means play group. Noridan started 5 years ago, and has 86 members. They not only perform; they also manage the business. Noridan's performance members also spread an environmental message, using only instruments from recycled materials that they make themselves. The group runs workshops for local students, and have performed around the world.

Wow!! Those people could make instruments out of garbage!  I wish I could do that!  :)
