NASA’s Rocket Test Gets Green Light – Ares 1-X Launch a Success

Posted Wednesday, November 4, 2009

Featured on Episode 8 of the 2009-2010 season

The skies cleared as we finished taping last week's NewsDepth - and NASA got the green light for its newest rocket, the Ares 1-X. NASA says the rocket is the world's largest - and the first step toward returning to the moon. A large crowd gathered at Kennedy Space Center to see the launch, the first of a new rocket there in thirty years. The launch was considered a great success. Cleveland's NASA Glenn Research Center built the upper stage of the rocket.
