A 91-year-old paddle wheel tow boat is showing its age. The W.P. Snyder Jr. is the last of its kind - a steam-powered stern-wheeler. That means the paddle wheel is at the back, or stern, of the boat. Hundreds of these boats used to sail our big rivers, pushing barges full of coal. The Snyder was built in Pittsburgh, and took coal from the mines to the steel mills. Now this Marietta-based tourist attraction - also the destination of school field trips - needs some repairs, as the Snyder's steel hull is rusting from the inside. Soon the boat will make the trip down the Ohio River to a shipyard in South Point for restoration.
