The National Museum of the United States Air Force is hoping to land one of NASA's space shuttles when they are retired next year. They're not ready with any announcements yet, but NASA spokesman Mike Curie says the shuttles should be housed in locations where they can be seen by the greatest number of people. The museum at Wright Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton brings in 1.3 million visitors a year, and should draw even more visitors with a space shuttle there. The museum is the world's oldest and largest military air force museum with hundreds of historic planes and thousands of artifacts.
