Geologists say Alaska's Mount Redoubt has entered a new phase. It's now emitting ash plumes instead of the violent eruptions that occurred over the past week. Monday, the volcano made a cloud, with a small amount of ash that reached 27-thousand feet high. Mt. Redoubt is located 100 miles southwest of Anchorage, but the ash was so thick that Alaska Airlines suspended its flights in and out of Alaska's largest city. Redoubt has erupted 18 times since it became active eight days ago.
