The 2009 falcon nesting season is underway in Ohio with the sighting of three eggs in a nest at the Terminal Tower in Cleveland. Additional nests should be occupied at sites in Columbus, Dayton and other Ohio locations soon. Peregrine falcons are powerful and fast, but small - about the size of a crow. They are listed as a threatened species in Ohio, downgraded from endangered last year. You can get a birds-eye view of their nests by visiting the Ohio Division of Wildlife's falcon web page.
