Last week satellites from the U.S. and Russia crashed into each other as they were orbiting high above the earth. Originally, many people thought that a fireball object videotaped over a race in Texas was remnants of the collision. But it turned out that the object seen in the sky was actually a meteor! That's a good thing - because immediately after the crash - experts were worried some of the debris could enter the earth's atmosphere. It seems that the satellites were too high for anything to be reaching earth this quickly and probably too small to create that kind of display.
