Governor Strickland created waves last week when he proposed dramatic education reforms. This week, he created more discussion with his proposed sixty billion dollar budget for next year. His budget will increase the amount of money for K-12 education, but will reduce money to Ohio agencies and many state employees. The Governor proposed raising some fees, like those for car registrations. Governor Strickland is counting on money from the federal stimulus package, and also plans to use up the state's rainy day fund.
