The 24th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Breakfast helped kick off activities in Columbus Monday. Although it may be the longest-running and largest event of its kind honoring the civil rights activist, organizers expected the turnout to be lower this year, due to the inauguration in Washington. Still, about three thousand people celebrated the legacy of Dr. King in words and music.
