Performing sea mammals - a dancing walrus and some singing dolphins - are the main attractions at the new Dolphinarium in Istanbul, Turkey, which opened its doors on Monday. Visitors to the Dolphinarium can also touch and swim with the dolphins. The venue features four to six shows every week. The talented walrus is able to do the tango! Both the walrus and dolphins treated the audience to a few tunes.

Students in these activities will discover mammal training methods as well as communication habits. Students will also debate the pros and cons of dolphins in captivity.

Standards Addressed: Students will demonstrate an understanding of how living systems function and how they interact with the physical environment.
Students will describe how organisms, specifically mammals, interact with one another in various ways.
