Almost 80 years ago, the United States - and ultimately the entire world - suffered an economic downturn so severe it was called the Great Depression. When Franklin Delano Roosevelt became president in 1933, he decided to create new jobs by building up the nation's infrastructure - that's a fancy word for things like roads, bridges and sewer systems. Now President-elect Obama wants to take a page from that book. Jessica Yellin reports on Obama’s proposed program to save or create 2.5 million jobs, putting people to work making public buildings green, improving the nation’s highways and modernizing public schools.
