When three year old chimpanzee, Anjana, is not part of her daily shows at Jungle Island in Miami, she is back stage - playing mommy - with two white Bengal tiger cubs named Mitra and Shiva. The two month old male cubs were born during a hurricane in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and had to be separated from their mother when their sanctuary flooded. With the help of surrogate mother Anjana, it seems like they are doing just fine. Both cubs and Anjana go home with their trainer everyday.
Students will describe how organisms may interact with one another and will organize writing, beginning with an introduction, body and a resolution of plot.
Grades: 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 6th Grade, 7th Grade, 8th Grade
