Ohio Christmas tree growers are sending a special Christmas gift to our troops overseas.
Operation Evergreen was in full swing last weekend as 300 trees were packed up at the Ohio Department of Agriculture's Reynoldsburg campus. The trees will go to soldiers serving in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan. Local school children, churches and veterans' groups donated decorations, and Federal Express will ship the trees to the troops.
