In Maryland, a big, lovable dog named Victor is helping kids learn to read just by sitting with them and listening. Victor is a mastiff, a 215-pound gentle giant. Students are picked by their teachers to read in front of Victor – part of a new program called Tail Waggin’ Tutors. Victor is a certified therapy dog. He and his owner Cherry Flaherty started volunteering at the school last month.
