Thousands of DHL Express workers will lose their jobs – 7,000 of them at the shipping company’s hub in Wilmington, Ohio. German-owned DHL Express is stopping air and ground operations within the United States. Workers at General Motors’ Lordstown plant learned that more than 1,000 of them will soon be without jobs. The cuts will be completed by January 20, 2009.
