It sounds like a movie plot starring a skinny kid from Weatherford, Texas - unnoticed and un-recruited by major college teams. The name of Texas Tech student Matt Williams was drawn for a contest during halftime at a game. The contest would award him a month's free rent if he could kick a 30-yard field goal. Matt made the field goal, and the Red Raiders offered him a spot on their team. Last week Matt’s two field goals helped his team defeat arch rival University of Texas 39 to 33. Texas Tech is the ninth ranked team in college football.
