About 250 miles south of Florida, Cuba has elected a new president for the first time in over fifty years. Raul Castro became the interim president of Cuba when his brother Fidel became ill in 2006. Fidel Castro announced he would not seek re-election due to his poor health last week - and the power remains with the Castro family. Raul, who is 76, was elected president of the State Council by Cuba's National Assembly on Sunday in Havana.
