Everyone is sure to fall in love with the Houston Zoo's new baby giraffe. He was born last Friday - so new he doesn't even have a name yet! Mother giraffes are always very affectionate toward their babies, touching and licking them frequently, like this baby’s mother does. When the calves in the wild are a month old, they join a "nursery" group of mothers and their calves.... And luckily, the Houston Zoo had another baby giraffe born just last fall, so he has a friend to play with!
