The Magna Carta is the English document composed in 1215 which outlines laws of society for most of the western world. Only 17 copies ever existed, and none has ever come up for auction in the almost 800 years since it was written, until now. Tuesday, Texan billionaire Ross Perot auctioned his version of the most important legal document in the world. This is the only copy ever owned by an individual, and now, the more than twenty one million dollars raised by the Magna Carta auction for the Perot Foundation will go toward medical research and care for wounded veterans.
