Featured on Episode 18 of the 2006-2007 season
20-year-old Kyle Maynard was born with congenital amputation, with arms that end at the elbows and legs that end near his knees. He persevered in life, forgoing prosthetic arms and legs from the age of six, and playing football in middle school. His strong desire to wrestle and his coach’s decision to let him try enabled him to become a very successful high school varsity wrestler. Also the author of a new book titled No Excuses, Kyle spoke with ideastream’s Rick Jackson at the Idea Center® at PlayhouseSquare last week, after delivering a talk to a group of high school students. http://www.washingtonspeakers.com/speakers/Speaker.cfm?SpeakerID=4761
