Former Congressman Ted Strickland took the oath of office as Ohio's new governor just after midnight Monday morning, promising to uphold the duties of his new office. Mr. Strickland will have a much fancier inauguration on the lawn of the statehouse on Saturday, January thirteenth. Governor Strickland postponed the big celebration for a week so that his inauguration would not compete with Ohio State University's championship game, also held this past Monday.
