The Maple Heights City School District raised nearly $9,000 for a scholarship for the Maple Heights senior with the most improved grade point average with Operation Maple Leap. On Saturday, 18 school district and city employees, including the mayor, jumped from an airplane at the Aerohio Skydiving Center in Rittman to celebrate the end of the fundraiser.
