Ohio Fraternal Order of Police Head Wants State of the Union To Denounce Attacks On Police

Ohio FOP President Jay McDonald made the request to President Obama on behalf of the Ohio-based group "Stand with Cops." It wants Obama to "use his bully pulpit to denounce those targeting police with violence, as well as those who fan the flames of contempt for the dangerous work done by police."

McDonald says he's never seen sentiment against police as high as it is now.

The comments come as police in Ohio and around the country remain under scrutiny for several high-profile deaths, and in the wake of the murders of two New York City policeman.
