Local School Levies Largely Fail, Some Exceptions

Far more school levies passed than failed.
Cleveland and Akron both passed.
Euclid passed a levy by 19 votes; Strongsville by just three votes.
In Cuyahoga County, the only failure was a bond levy in North Royalton. Lorain County voters looked favorably on school levies in all but Avon Lake, Elyria and Midview.
Levies failed in Chardon, Ledgemont and Newbury in Geauga county; Riverside rejected a levy try. In Medina county, all the levies failed.
Barberton and Nordonia turned down levies; so did Tallmadge, where the money would have been used to build a new elementary school.
