Pepper and DeWine argued over the attorney general's office's testing of rape kits, its handling of the police shooting of a man in Beavercreek and the response to Ohio's heroin-use epidemic.

The conversation grew heated as the candidates attacked one another. At one point, as Pepper interrupted him, DeWine pounded the table and said, in a raised voice, "Can you be quiet long enough to let me finish?"

Northeast Ohio Media Group politics reporter Henry Gomez summarizes the conversation over at Cleveland.com. You can also hear the full audio of their back-and-forth there.
