The latest jobless numbers for Ohio are in, and as Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles reports, there wasn’t a real change during the last month.

Ohio’s unemployment rate was seven point two percent in July.  That rate was unchanged from June.

But the actual number of unemployed increased by three thousand over the past month.  The number of unemployed Ohioans has increased by one thousand over the past year.

The state’s latest job numbers are still better than the national average.  The U.S unemployment rate for July was seven point four percent.  But that’s good news because the nation’s unemployment rate was at seven point six percent in June and eight point two in July of last year.
