Former Cleveland Museum of Art Director David Franklin

Word came late Monday that David Franklin has resigned as Director of the Cleveland Museum of Art, citing personal reasons. Franklin's departure from the post is effective immediately, though he is to help with the transition to a new leader.

Plain Dealer writer Steven Litt reported the story Monday. He spoke with ideastream’s Rick Jackson about Franklin’s departure and what’s in store.
