Billionaire Peter B. Lewis died suddenly this past weekend at his home in Florida. Lewis was the former CEO of Progressive Insurance Company in Mayfield, and stayed on as Chairman until his death. He was know not just for his business acumen, but for his philanthropy and dedication to the arts, donating hundreds of millions of dollars over his lifetime. He was a longtime friend of the world famous architect Frank Gehry, who designed the Peter B. Lewis Building - home of the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Steven Litt is architecture critic for the Plain Dealer and has written extensively about Lewis over the years. He shared some of his insights with ideastream's Bill Rice.
