A panel of educators and the most famous creation of the late Doctor Suess make stops in two Cuyahoga County Thursday - reading to kids and giving grants to elementary school libraries. It's part of the national Read Across America program - visiting Cleveland for the first time.

The celebration at Caledonia School in Cleveland Hts was followed by a visit and grant-giving ceremony at Mayfair Elementary in East Cleveland. The three Cat-a-Vans this week are logging more than 5,100 miles to deliver the message about reading. Friday March 1 is the official Read Across America Day.
