In a career that's spanned 50 years, a familiar voice in the mornings on WCPN will be retiring. Carl Kasell will be delivering his last newscast December 30th. For the past 30 years he's been the newscast voice during NPR's Morning Edition. He spoke with ideastream®'s Eric Wellman about what happens behind the scenes in the news business and how the business of gathering the news has changed over the course of his career. He asked Carl Kasell what he does in the hours before his first newscast.
