Our sources say the Obama Administration has approached Cleveland Clinic CEO Toby Cosgrove about heading the Department of Veterans Affairs. Neither the White House nor the Cleveland Clinic will confirm the reports, nor have they denied them. It's not clear if Dr. Cosgrove is the only candidate being considered. ideastream health reporter Sarah Jane Tribble talks with afternoon host Tony Ganzer about Dr. Cosgrove's record and why he might…or might not…be interested in leading the embattled administration.

Additional Information

The New York Times editorial board wrote about the institute model created by Dr. Cosgrove in December 2012: “Approaching Illness as a Team”

Information Management wrote about the Clinic’s dashboards in July 2012: “Cleveland Clinic: Dashboards to See a Difference.”
