Another ground breaking health technique is being pioneered locally, but NOT from the region's major Health Care centers... This learning tool has arrived on US shores from Japan. It's aim is to help reverse the effects of dementia, and it is the topic of today's Tuesday Check up.

The Eliza Jennings Senior Care network has brought the system to the United States and now offers SAIDO at its Westlake, Olmsted Falls, and Olmsted Township facilities, besides the original test site in Lakewood.

Angela Townsend of the Plain Dealer wrote about meeting the needs of the elderly, and how an old friendship… lead to this technique being brought first to Cuyahoga County… She talked with ideastream’s Rick Jackson about the process of bringing SAIDO to Cleveland, and what tests have shown it does for participants.
