Ohio’s official unemployment rate for February remains unchanged from January at 7 per cent even. The leveling-off follows nearly 3 years-worth of small but steady decreases in the jobless rate. Still, a spokesman for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says the leveling-off masks a positive development. Ben Johnson talks about that in an interview with Ohio Public Radio’s Bill Cohen.
The number of unemployed Ohioans is now 401,000. Ohio’s jobless rate, 7 percent even, remains below the national rate of 7.7 percent.
